Every other Wednesday night from 7:00 to at least 10:30 p.m., Brad and I lead an Old-Time jam at The Five and Dime Ale House (901 W 36th St, Baltimore, MD 21211). We are now in our 8th year.
Slow jam: 7-8:15 Fast jam: 8:15 to at least 10:30
This jam is free and a great way to hear Old-Time music on the Avenue in Hamden. We have had as many as 70 musicians playing and many more listening and enjoying the scene. If you play old-time music, come and join us to play some tunes. Or just come, relax, dance, have a drink and soak in the scene!
Please invite friends and continue to spread the word.
Next jam is 3/16/2022 (*Due to our concert schedules, the jams are sometimes lead by others.) But it is always friendly and welcoming of ALL levels of players and ALL instruments. In addition to fiddles, banjos, guitars, mandolin, hammered & mountain dulcimer, dobros & bass, we have had ukuleles, clarinets, recorders, saxophones, musical saw, washboard and more.
Bring friends.
