Join the Kolodner’s for an intimate backyard concert featuring some of the finest old-time musicians around. This is our 10th year with previous guests including Bill and The Belles, The Honey Dewdrops, The Brother Brothers, Erynn Marshall & Carl Jones, Richie Stearns & Rosie Newton and Furnace Mountain.

Widely known as one of the top hammered dulcimer players in the U.S. and a fine old-time fiddler, Baltimore’s Ken Kolodner is joined by his son, Brad Kolodner who has rapidly gained national recognition for his driving yet subtle old-time clawhammer banjo playing. Joining Ken & Brad will be Rachel Eddy on fiddle, guitar and vocals and Alex Lacquement on bass.

Becky Tracy & Keith Murphy

Keith and Becky have been making their beautiful blend of traditional songs and instrumentals for close to 30 years. Their sound is unmistakable.  Becky’s fiddling, steeped in the music of Ireland and Quebec has been a defining presence in the New England dance scene and she has influenced a generation of players. Keith and Becky toured for many years in Nightingale.

Keith is a highly respected traditional singer and his songs include ballads from his native Newfoundland as well as songs from French Canada and New England. Along with his foot percussion, his guitar and piano playing have an inimitable drive. Keith’s original instrumentals have been featured in Ken Burns documentaries and some of have become standards in the contra dance repertoire around the country. Keith and Becky each have a host of other projects, working in other combinations large and small. But the power and intimacy of their duo show is a treasure.

They will be featuring  some music from Keith’s last solo CD, Land of Fish and Seals (2018) as well as more recent instrumental compositions.
